for the assessment session, which typically
lasts 30-60 minutes. The assessment
consists of the following:
Inspect
wood finish for damage
Inspect
keys for level & wear
Inspect
pins for proper tightness
Inspect
soundboard (top and bottom)
Inspect
strings for rust and wear
Inspect
hammers for alignment & wear
Inspect
responsiveness of keys
Inspect
pedals
Determine deviation from correct pitch
Deliver
inspection report to customer

may be a trip charge for distances greater
than fifteen miles from the northeast

Upon completion of the
inspection, Bill will review his
observations with you. While
this is not an official appraisal, it can
give help you to decide whether the piano is
a good value or not.
